Confirmation is a process in the United Methodist Church through which students can take ownership of their own faith. Many students were baptized as infants, and Confirmation gives them a chance to profess their own faith in Christ. It is also the process where someone who was not baptized as an infant, but would like to be baptized, then may be as part of the service.

DUMC will have Confirmation classes on Sunday mornings at 9:45am beginning February 23rd through April 13th. These classes will take place in the Youth Center in lieu of regular Sunday School programming. It is important to be present as often as possible but it is understood that life happens and a class or two might be missed.

Any Middle or High School student who has not been confirmed can choose to do so at the end of Confirmation class. Students who have already been confirmed may still attend Confirmation classes (and are encouraged to do so) as these classes serve a refresher.
